Flames

Everyone has something that drives them wild
A burning flame in a black pot of embers
On occasion the flames sprout taller
And masquerade into their eyes
Shimmering from the inside out they flare
Oh, how they flare up
Up into their pearlescent irises
Newly christened red, orange, and yellow
Such a sprectrum yet to be seen elsewhere
The warmth of a thriving passion emulates their divine nature
That the flaming ones birth with every spark
Their eyes gold fireflies in a crepuscular world
Time and distance no longer factors
In the core of every flame
