Fixing Life

Location

I look around my messy life

And try not to whine or cry

I choose here and now to fix it up

Not wallow until I die!

I'll start with schoolwork- such a chore

The textbooks just bring me tears

Perhaps if I finish my work right away

The time will calm my fears

Along with that, my job is hard

At least it pays real fair

With all the money I get from it

I could travel the world- if I dare!

And what about friends, buddies, and pals?

They'll all come through at the end!

True friendships don't shatter, scatter or rage

But they often will tremor or bend

This poem is about:
Me
