Figurative Language
I don't know how to explain things with simple words
In fact, I don't even see things in simple terms,
But I can weave my tongue into metaphors.
I can bend sentences into expressive streams that flow for miles.
My god, I can twist similes like a gnarled branch grasping the wind.
I can personify my world so she opens her eyes and enunciates her truth.
So don't speak to me in simple words,
Rather, let your lips form pictures.
Let your soul reveal itself through your figures of speech,
Let the beating of your heart be the rhythm you vocalize.
I wish not to see your tongue, but your being, your spirit, the universe captured within the sentences you utter.
Speak with your soul, speak with your soul,
For simple things, I always found them far too complex.
