Fighting against Depression

The silence is deafening.

In my mind, I scream and I shout.

And I just can't get out.

I'm begging, please.

Someone - hear me.

Love me,

Like I cannot love myself.

I go to school to learn how to help,

but I can't even help myself.

Someone please, see through this mask.

Someone, see through the lies.

Look past the smile,

See the hurt.

Enough is enough.

I'll stand strong on my own.

I'll over come,

Overcame.

Now it's time,

to find others.

The others like me;

Like I once was.

And be the helping hand,

that never came for me.

Time to see the hidden pain.
