Fear is Just a Four Letter Word

Fear is not something you're born with

Fear is not something one must hold on to,

Yet so many of us suffer from different fears.

The unknown, death, public speaking

Those are some of my greatest fears,

but, I have overcome them...

My anxiety used to eat me alive

I used to worry, but now I push myself

I have used my fears to create hope for my future

I will become what I make of myself

I will become a counselor, and instead of fearing the dark,

I will bring people to the light,

and instead of fearing death

I will prevent death.

My public speaking will help millions,

not run from this taboo subject,

but come to know the authenticity of suicide.

I will stop suicides.
