Fear

Fear is an illusion, danger is tangible

We walk and imagine the possibilities

This could be uncertain

This street could crumble along the cracks

The sidewalk, oh the sidewalk,

Is it sturdy?

But with every disaster emerges a hero

A man carries a little girl from the scene

A woman dives to help a stranger

Dodge what could have been a one way

Ticket to heaven.

Just a little more time.

Feel it, see it, touch it.

The fear.

But don't forget to overcome it.

And keep jumping on the sidewalk.
