Father, Father

Now I sit here and ponder, will you still be here?
Will you come to my graduation, cheer for me as I accept my diploma?
Will you walk me down the isle, eyes filled with tears?
Will you see your first grandchild born, love them with all of your heart?
Or did you decide to continue with the drug addiction that took over your life and ruined mine?
Will you even still be here as I grow, age, and set my goals?
You're not here now, so why would you be here in my future?
