The Fates of Fates

Sun, 06/12/2016 - 18:06 -- kc97

The water seemed to rise tonight,

As the rain began to pour down.

The pitter-patter grew louder

As my own tears hit the ground.

It seemed to never end,

The storm that followed.

As if the fates wanted me to drown

To never see the light of day.

To grieve the passing sunshine,

When all I have is lost to the world.

The fates gave a shrill cry,

When my tears swallowed me.

Fates came dancing at my own grief,

Yet as the rain flew from my eyes.

I glimpsed the clouds parting

In amazement the light scared the fates away.
