FAMILY TAUGHT ME
Family taught me "give it your all" didn't just mean until you feel you are done,
Or things are too hard.
But literally your everything and even when it's all gone,
Too stand tall and look the dispare into it's hollow eyes.
Holding the only thing you managed to rescue through it all,
A small wooden box in which you carry your only faith in humanity.
That through all the emotional fires and mental twisters you managed to save.
Even when it's all you have, you hand it over.
Family taught me that "Watch out for the wolves in sheeps clothing" wasn't just an expression
But a lifestyle in which i would be forced to live my life everyday.
That there are witches out there.
With those shinny poisened apples, waiting for a naive yet curious snow white to come along.
Family taught me to love your brothers and sisters.
No matter how hard that may be at times, just to do it.
That love isn't a matter of how well you get along.
Love is looking at the other at the end of that eaten path of distruction, and see them.
No matter what they have done or said
And be able say "I love you!"
Even when you know the silence is the only thing that will occompany your ears.
