Falling out of the Tree

I once fractured my knee

When falling out of my favorite tree

And I made the mistake of climbing it again

When my knee was still trying to mend

Now I am stuck

And just out of luck

With a cast on my leg

I tried to plea and beg

Trying to get the doc to let me leave

But it was a clean cleave

And now I had to get surgery

And I had to get my head checked by neurosurgery

To make sure I didn't have a concussion

I knew when I saw mom there would be precussions

To my actions and words

At that moment, I would of rather been outside feeding the birds

I had to stay at the hospital for about a week

Just because I wanted to take a peek

At the new bird nest

I wished I had just gave it a rest

Maybe then I wouldn't of fallen

Out of that blasted tree covered with pollen

My knee wouldn't be broken

And my mother wouldn't let me be outspoken
