Humanity has not fallen.
The silly phrase
I continue to speak
though my peers won't agree.
That the evolution of man doesn't stop here.
We're
not the victims of the news media
the social sites,
the local bites,
the endless calories
afforded from the lack of salaries,
The salaries of those above
on the corporate ladder
They matter more than we want to think
they supply the coffee we drink in the shops
on every corner that give us the energy and power
to waste away the hours to complain about the suppliers
because they're liars.
We're not the mindless faces
glued to the TV sets
and yet
We see need to assimilate to what we see.
The people we set as role models
model the roles of the irresponsible mentality of drugs and parties
And in actuality the spirituality that claims to save us from the reality
that shows in reality shows is instead the same bigotry we've been overcoming
for decades
and decades
the groups are different and the hate is the same.
And the lame way we lol and rofl on the book of faces
that clamp on to our minds as the most social of devices
shuts us in, and desocializes us to our vices.
The nicest thing today is putting down the phone
and talking the night away.
Our voices are weakened and hidden behind the strong
booming voices of the men we trust with the failure we claim for our nation.
Don't let this fool you
we are not the lost generation.
We are not the fools gold of the world.
We are merely misguided with our youth.
The truth is our lives will develop
our knowledge will grow.
"These kids have no future"
That just ain't so.
