Faith Falls

The oblivious serenity of peace

Gliding effortlessly through life

With no intention to slow or cease

And dreamy realities glowing in sight

Doesn't see the edge.

It never senses the fall,

Rushing far and fast ahead,

Pieces of peace, but not quite all.

But when the precipice emerges,

Waves rumble, rush, and roar,

Rocks crashing as water purges,

While you search for something more.

When faith falls like water,

When you can't find solid ground,

Praying to any martyr

To carry you safely down,

Reach a pool of solitude.

Look as the clouds part.

Watch the sun grace the sky,

Realize it's just another start.
