Fairytales

Fairytale poems and crafted sweet songs

Seem to have the ideas all wrong

About families and their main function;

To keep your heart as hard as a man's gin

A father is no man to shine in armor

He drinks and sits and lives to harm her

Your mother who works her fingers to the bone

Then spends all her nights in a bed so alone

Trying to keep the perfect sister in school

Because she is drunk and acting the fool

All the while shoving down her little sister

Who truely believes none would have missed her

If she had taken to bed her favorite knife

And in the quiet morning, ended her life

Leaving three little brothers to mourn

Whose heads were already so full of scorn

Who no longer believed in fairy tales

Like this one here, of the family that fails
