a fading memory

it's a memory of how we used to be
that makes me want to believe
even though we cant go back
you've made your choice.
not me
 but the ghosts,
ghosts of your past
and unlike me
they call you by name
fueling the fire fanning the flame
 re-cutting the future
 un-stitching the past
i know this is so
though it was gone so fast
i know this is the point of no return
 and i cant go back
i'm embracing this fear
and chasing the fight
 the heats in my eyes
 burning my path
so i run i don't hide
i'm burning the bridges behind me
 ill chase till i die
the past of what we where
the love i cant hide
This poem is about:
Me
My family
