Fading

Tue, 08/12/2014 - 12:01 -- JCW

My dear, why must you hide from me?

Why do you disappear from sight?

Your reason is not plain to see,

For you are always, in your plight,

Fading, fading, fading….

We had a beautiful life,

But that no longer exists.

Now our days are filled with strife,

The end of days approaching swift.

We were once oh-so-happy,

Living our days in joviality,

But now misery is our companion,

Mated contradictorily with brutality.

Pain and suffering are constant,

And loneliness a friend.

Our hearts are now despondent,

Tears are like Godsend.

My dear, why must you hide from me?

Why do you disappear from sight?

Your reason is not plain to see,

For you are always, in your plight,

Fading, fading, fading….

I have lost your love,

But you have not lost mine.

Your beauty is lost to some sky above,

Your presence in life now absent.

Is it gorgeous where you are?

I would hope it lives up to dreams.

And if this is not the case,

Then death is not as it seems.

My dear, why must you hide from me?

Why do you disappear from sight?

Your reason is not plain to see,

For you are always, in your plight,

Fading, fading, fading….

My love, I cry for your embrace,

But you are far, far away,

Somewhere away from my grace,

Where you are fated to stay.

My dear, why must you hide from me?

Why do you disappear from sight?

Your reason is not plain to see,

For you are always, in your plight,

Fading, fading, fading….
