Face Today

I will face today with open arms and hands

steady. Passing through its gates of burden

with a feeling of joy. While walking on the

grounds of broken dreams and hindering

faults, my feet will stride in confidence.

I look upon its shadows of challenge

and through it, see the blessings within;

upholding moral forces amidst the songs

of doubt. The sun embraces my face in

comfort, while energy flows past.

It carries reminders of those beckoned

forth by creation and called to dust

by the earth. I will face today with an open

mind and eyes closed, so that I may see

its purpose, and feel its plan.

May the dreams of history act as raw

material for creations of the future, and

may the unknown guide my hands in the

forge of the impossible.

I will face today, for the sake of tomorrow,

and embrace its components, for the sake of myself.
