Face Façade

Location

You query why I wear this mask

It magnifies my virtues

That would be hidden otherwise

Frozen in a single countenance

The unseen features concealed

Cloaked within a truthful disguise

Expected to sit in silence

Emotions inhibited

Puissance gazing from my eyes

Sanctuary for the tearful

The loneliness amplified

I feel the self-awareness rise

All over the alertness climbs

Sounds and senses in the dark

Answering to the distant cries

Would you feel the same about me?

If you just knew who I was?

Or would you only see the lies?

This is my only face façade

The façade on my visage

The flaws and perfections it ties
