I scream. I am loud.

I shout and I kick.

I take the baseball bat and swing.

My heart races when the fires take over

And fury dances before my eyes

As disgust fills me.

How dare you? How dare you?

How dare you do “this, this, and this”

And make the world race around me

In a flame?

Call me temperamental, insolent.

No doubt I shall call you more hurtful things as well.

Hurt, hurt, hurt.

Isn’t that what we do to one another?

Hurt, hurt, hurt – no.

I am nodding. I am quiet.

I blink and I smile.

I take my cup of tea and sip.

My heart races when the fires take over

And fury dances before my eyes

As I smile politely.

I can let this pass, surely I can let this pass.

As I have let you pass for “this, this, and this”

Nearly a dozen times before. Half of it

Occurred in my wake.

Call me charming, a sweetheart.

No doubt I shall I tell the same to my other friends as well.

Haha, haha, haha!

Isn’t this what friendship is all about?

Haha, haha, haha!
