Extensions of My Own Root

I Am.

I Am, merely because of the roads travelled

My mother travels overseas just to see me

Graduate.

Be the first Literate Generation.

Eat food without wondering when the next plate is coming.

Not rely on ANY male that yearns to deplete my ethereal value to this world.

Pave the way for my own success

I Am because she saw something bigger

In her own roots

I Am because of her

something bigger than me

I Am a thousand generations of ancestrial lines that

struggled

to find their next plate of food

I Am the reaper of what is sewn

I Am

destined for success

I Am the root that reaches

for the biggest fruit

I Am my mother

I Am her extensions of the yearning for success.

I Am the next biggest thing.
