Explosion

We are the sum of our experiences,

The product of our circumstances,

Powder kegs of emotion and rationality.

Each of us can explode, implode, or fizzle out.

Me, at first I imploded,

collapsing into self despair.

Self hatred.

Self loathing.

Oh how I yearned to fizzle out,

To simply let my light disappear.

A glorious failure, indeed!

Explosions are generally viewed as destructive

But, with things such as mining,

They can be vital to progress.

Now, I explode.

I explode into song.

I explode into laughter.

I explode into light.

I explode into the world with positive energy.
