This is the evolution of our generation:

Documentation of instant gratification,

Social media exploitation,

Gender roles and misrepresentation.

Insecurities about body proportions,

Neglected kids out drinking and smoking,

Lack of focus on the future of our nation,

Who has time for a proper education?

They never want to learn anyway, or at least that’s what they show.

They’ll always be rebellious; that’s just how it goes.

But you’re wrong. That’s not who we are.

So stop seeing in black and white.

Teach us what we need to know;

Teach us to do what is right.

We’re just kids looking for a sense of purpose.

But we are the future.

Please don’t ignore us.
