Eternity

I am drowning in a black lake

A thousand souls at my side.

Grueling screams bellow from silent mouths,

Secrets as to why they have died

And tales of how to survive.

The poison constricts my throat

Drinking in lies.

Laughing as they watch me choke

Demonic glee in their eyes.

The only thing worse is the flies.

They feed on festering flesh

Crawling in and out of my open heart.

Black, soulless bodies disturbing the waters

Tearing the living apart

Dreaming I had been dead from the start.

Hell is filled with sweet roses

For this smells of a worser fate.

The Devil himself has no imagination

For this Hell his own devils had to create.

So run, my darling, but for me there is no escape.

Sometimes living is worse than dying.
