I feel it slipping, fluttering, nearly gone
The seed of familiarity, to which I have been holding on
And each time it slips from me I…
I grow uncertain and unsure
Am I ready for what lurks just around the corner?

I was safe guarded once there,
And I have found stability, love, and care here
Now I must break through the casing of that wondrous seed
Break through the confines that have been slipping slowly
Chip, Chip, chip away- the outside looks so lonely
Chip, chip, chip away- I can only pray I’ll find my way
Escaping the familiar- what comes after today?
