Epiphany

Dear Epiphany,
I want to talk
but you're never there.
You enlighten me
as fast as a light bulb lights up,
but that's also how fast you leave me.
Talk to more people!
Come on time!
Then the world would be a better place.

But maybe you're just
shy,
quiet,
invisible.
Or you just want to wait
for the right time.
Maybe I just never acknowledge your
presence.
I guess...
I forgive you, my dear epiphany.
Go ahead and take your time.
Take a deep breath
before you leap.
But for the time being,
I'm putting my math homework on hold.
