End

Sitting in the silence,
I’ve waited so long.
I’m calling out to darkness,
I don’t know what went wrong.
The thirst for answers has all but dried.
Weeping at the possibility this may be Goodbye.

Goodbye Father.
Goodbye Mother.
Goodbye all the others.
No one knew this would be my end.

Inside me my mind quakes with doubt,
Questioning and hurting, cause and effect-
My way has gone, there’s no way out.
Stockholm takes root and causes a mess.
I should have seen through the lies.
Weeping at the possibility this may be Goodbye.

Goodbye Father.
Goodbye Mother.
Goodbye all the others.
I think this is my end.

This tragedy will draw to a close.
My story has no happy ending.
And I know the fault lies with those,
Who orchestrated my kidnapping.
Now I leave broken and bloody to travel without my body.
Smiling now that I’ve reached my Goodbye.

Goodbye Father.
Goodbye Mother.
Goodbye all the others.
Do not trust the stranger with the wandering eye.
His brutality will lead to your end.
