Enchanted Doom

At the time you were the most enchanting hello,A shadow visible to me,We played masquerade that night,Such a beautifully romantic game,And it was,The stars, the air, the buzz,Your facade enticing,I'll admit you're trouble, and I kept the reminder,ALmost enticing enough to gamble all bets,That's your game isn't it?All of my cards displayed,I no longer hold any poker face,My hand laid out,At least in your fantasy,So even though the game was beautiful,,Me and you? That was never a clear view,Like you, all too familiar with the night,I recognize a deadly poison,Not, love, or even lust in your eyes! For the millionth time in my life,I was so ready to believe all of the wrong lies,With that being said, I'll say this too,You're still my most enchanting hello, and my most daunting goodbye.  -A.L.
