EMPTINESS

I wake up to find to an empty space next to me

An imprint of the possibilities of what could be

What could’ve been what we could’ve had

To not just go with the flow or go with the fad

I see an empty chair where there is no one sitting

Where we can sit and talk it seems so fitting

Talking about how life is a pain that we have to deal with

And how true love seems to be just some little myth

I stand in an empty room watching the sun arise

When I realize that love is just a feeling in disguise

Making us go through pain that we shouldn’t have to withstand

And yet we are still here together hand in hand

I hold an empty heart where you should be there to fill

And when u have filled that spot I will know that love is real

I can imagine the emptiness inside of my heart

And how it feels to be hit with a dart

I also have seen us grow each and everyday

Piece by piece I want you here to stay

Please fill my empty soul and help me keep on turning

To fight for our love and our trust let that emptiness keep on burning
