Emotions
When they come they come
Like mosquitos in the summer,
You swat at them,
Your stomach sinks,
They come anytime, anywhere
Alcohol helps to keep them away, sometimes helps you forget,
but it also attracts them,
You swallow them when you're with company,
And you try to hold it in
To keep it deep inside
But it consumes you
It's razor sharp and It burns
Like a blade in the fire
But it's cold
It's ice in your throat,
Its the vernier of happiness
Sweet like fresh honey,
But it turns quickly
Bitter like black coffee
Snow in May
Unusual but not unknown
You've been here before but you're still a stranger,
A stranger to yourself

Our world
