emb(RACE)

It is too bad we give race a face

Of colored behavior –

Yellow, brown, black, or white

We let these filters limit our sight.

And we blur the lines that confine

The beauty

Of being.

See,

We are not seeing –

Through the blue-green eyes that are sea

Deep,

Thriving with sorrow and joyous life.

We have got to bury our minds under the skin

To embrace

The created space

And give race a new face

Of diversity.
