dysfunctional
It never was broken, but it was always cracked,
Rifts damage the fragile shell beyond amend.
It never was beautiful and it never will be,
The memories always make sure of that.
It looks just like another flower in the garden,
But behind leaves hidden thorns are felt.
Appearances deceive and emotions betray,
But that doesn’t impel the blind to see.
Most don’t understand, I don’t fully myself,
But life is hard and it never will be fair.
It saddens to watch and it saddens to live,
But there was never a right way to react.
All we can do is to keep on living day by day,
Because turning back time won’t fix anything.
It would betray who we are, who we have become,
And we wouldn’t see things as clearly as we do now.
