(poems go here) We weren’t really sure what to pick for our project at first. After going over the list of topics we decided to go with security on the border. We went with the topic because it has been an unsolved problem for an extremely long time. This topic is very diplomatic and debatable, and we thought it would go good with the national history day theme; debate and diplomacy.
To conduct our research we used a variety of sources such as websites, books CD-ROMs, and photos. We went to the library on Mondays, Wednesday, and Thursday of every week for a month. We checked out books and a movie from our local library too. We were also working on the project independently at our homes.
For our project presentation category we chose to do an exhibit because it can show more information than other categories. Another reason we chose this category is because it’s easier to tweak in between competitions. We went to Hobby Lobby and bought a black tri-board, poster makers, neon colored cardstock, and stencils. We worked on it all week in our AVID class and after school.
Our board relates to the NHD theme, debate and diplomacy, because our topic is very debatable and “a problem” for our border states and our country. Immigration has impacted us greatly, economically, socially, politically, and culturally. Even though they impact us in a negative way they also impact us in a positive way also. Our exhibit shows all the information to know the problems and benefits the United States gets because of immigration.oieq eujoq qoihjoq qowehj qoweihj jiwej iwerj ierjqo oqierj jfowiej jierqo jiwej jriejo oqop;j pqojr jierj jwoi jroe ej and and and andn an a and and and and and and and and and and and and and and We weren’t really sure what to pick for our project at first.
