Drowning

I was there on my own,
Drowning alone,
There in your arms,
I woke up alarmed,
You whispered in my ear,
You're okay now, dear.

It's hard to let go,
Of everything I know,
But I'd do it all for you,
If you want me to,
You are there when I fall,
I don't worry at all,
Because I know I know you'll catch me,
I know you'll catch me baby.

On the top of your car,
We stared at the stars,
And I gave them all to you,
Just because I wanted to,
You grabbed my hand,
And asked me to dance,
The moon never shined so bright,
Reflecting off the lake that night.

It's hard to let go,
Of everything I know,
But I'd do it all for you,
If you want me to,
You are there when I fall,
I don't worry at all,
Because I know I know you'll catch me,
I know you'll catch me baby.

I can survive on my own,
Don't wanna be alone,
But you came and saved me,
And here lately,
I have not been alone,
You've never left me on my own,
Always strong enough for both of us,
I can only trust you this much.
