Dreams of the Light

Location

Day by day and week by week,

Anger grew and destroyed the weak.

The boy was young,

So much to know.

Yet half the time he could not grow.

At home he fought,

He cried for help.

So much fighting,

With his mother, blindng,

All the good he was he thought was dying.

The years flew by,

The bond it died.....

The tie between that mother and child,

The days were endless.

Always spent hiding,

The fighting relentess.

He was not worthy.

His own mother deems unfit,

The nights he'd sit,

Up and wonder of if he should quit.

He sees the light,

Still years away

Oh, college isn't too far away.

College the goal,

His reaon for fighting.

With college he knows,

He'll see the light someday.

He won't look back,

But will remember those days.

They made him strong,

They showed him the way.

Now college can start him,

On a new happy way.
