Dreams Flourishing

one ear to the next. as racial socialization flows,

my life silenced. from my own mouth.

but freedom of speech, or the freedom from it

the latter is my direction. from my own heart

but saul williams speaks. clarity. pain. hope.

i know that i can reach.from my own soul.

but what about poetry?

it allowed me to fill a hole.
