Dreams and Shadows

Perhaps

Perhaps I will haunt your dreams

As a summer whose end came to soonAs a whispered verse of a songAs a warm wind's caressMy laughter echoed in a child's delighted gigglePerhaps you will remember me In the sweet taste of strawberry Or in the silent tears of rain Or perhaps you will forget Perhaps you will forget my loveOf the passions we sharedThe dreams we cultivated With naive sweet abandon We are all but dreams and shadows Passing through this world in a colorful whirlwind of love, hate, passion, and faith We are all but dreams and shadows my loveAnd as the moon shadows the sunSo shall we eclipsed into blessed serenity
