Dreaming with our eyes open

I've learned over the years that sometimes you can't depend on everybody, or you'll be let down. My brother knows that feeling all too well. Yet somehow he managed to still love with his whole heart. His heart was pure unlike some. He has dreams and goals I know he can accomplish. I don't think even Superman himself could stop him. He's taught me how to be brave and how love hard even when someone may not deserve it. He's taught me not to give up on myself and be confident in who I am. One of the most important things he's taught me is how to dream with my eyes open. Because when that happens we are unstoppable, capable, powerful. My only hope is that he never forgets how much I love him too.
