Dreamers Have Grit
Life is Rough.
There is death and there is pain.
We are surrounded by a world that will let you die.
A world that throws things like "Survival of the Fittest" and "Just Looking Out For Number One" in your face. So many things in this would suck the emotion and passion out of people's lives.
You don't talk to your neighbors, there is no real relationships between teachers and their students, and you talk to your wall more than your own parents.
The world is a dark and cruel place... but it's only like that because people LET it. The whole world is looking for angels, but can't detach themselves from a world that desensitizes with lies.
Just when it seems like there is no place to hide, we find solace in our hopes and dreams.
Dreams are the things that keep us going, even when failure is evident.
Dreams connect us to people in ways few things do.
People who dream are troopers, but the people who act on those dreams have grit.
Without the God-given drive to go on not only would we not have dreamers, but hope would be lost.
So dream on dreamers. Be our future Albert Einsteins, Bill Gates', Lisa Leslie's and Micheal Bay's, because if those guys had been side-swept by the trials of our world, then we wouldn't have iPods or modern math or the WNBA.
Stay strong and be free to dream up a world that will change because you believed it would.
