Fighting everyday

The news just show horror

Children crying and screaming, calling out for mom or dad

Shouldn’t they be playing and laughing

Parents trying to stay strong and smile

With a broken heart

Cops separating families

Tearing them apart

Imagine losing your mom and dad

You don’t feel the pain

You aren’t broken hearted

You don’t cry yourself to sleep

Hiding in fear

Can’t seem to smile

Can’t go out

Can’t work

Everyday a battle is fought

Everyday someone is taken

I fight for change

For freedom

Something that I will have someday
