Dream the Possible Dream

Dream an impossible dream
Of a time already come and past
When gladiators and dragons would lay in the grass
Watching the clouds or stars dreaming the impossible dream

Dream the impossible dream
Of a future unknown
Of you upon mars alone
Babysitting baby Martians as their parents fly to Neptune to attend their cousin's wedding

Dream the impossible dream
Of the here and the now
Where you smile in the sunlight filled with so much happiness you might just drown
Dreaming of all your impossible dreams

Dreaming of an impossible dream of upstaging Andy Warhol at an art gallery with your Picasso inspired painting

Dreaming of an impossible dream
Where you are crown the strongest person in the world after you bench press Shack for one hour straight.

Dreaming of an impossible dream where you graciously accept an Emmy as best director of the year for your hilarious action packed tear jerker.

Dreaming of an impossible dream
Where you twirl your hair with cheeks burning read and eyes downcast, not used to the praise and fame.

Dreaming of an impossible dream
Where a world acclaimed food critic gives more than five stars to your restaurant and Gordon Ramsey bows down to your culinary prowess

Dreaming of an impossible dream
Of a simpler life
Settling down with the person of your dreams perhaps with a child or two
Or alone with thousands of cats
Whichever you prefer

Dreaming of an impossible dream of driving through big cities and country roads with the windows open and sun roof down in blissful silence with your hand dangling out the window catching the warm summer air and then letting it slip by like water between your fingers.

Now dream a possible dream
A dream in which you prove wrong all those people who said your dreams were impossible and make your dreams possible and do the possible dream
