Dream of Immortality

Location

Can he hear my heart beat?

Can he hear me breathing?

Is he overflowing

A desire that’s been seething

Why is he so deathly charming

Like a black rose bud

His control over me is so alarming

But I know he wants my blood

Why am I so trusting

To a deadly predator

How do I know he won’t suck me dry?

The same way that he did to her?

He isn’t here for pleasure

He isn’t here for pain

He’s only here to change me

I won’t see the world the same

He’s here to open my eyes

So that I can truly see

Here to change me like he is

To what I want to be

Then the vision blurs

In the sunrises early beam

I feel my whole soul sadden

To realize it was only a dream.
