The Door That Sealed

To My First,

People say that you can unlock any door with one key

I believed this was true for me

For years, I thought you were the one

Oh this race for love that everyone runs,

I had really thought that I'd won

You opened my door, and so it begun

The sound of your voice

The grip of your arms

The look in your eyes

The curve on your lips

The emotions of your heart

Everything else, I longed for nun

The journey that I traveled through with you seemed so great

The chuckles that poured out of you and I

When we'd just lay down and stare up at the sky

Alas, I took the bait...

They say you can unlock any door with one key

While you'd vent and rant on

I'd stare at you with dreamy eyes

Thinking I was for you

And you were for me...

But I should have left it closed

Not even looking at the peep hole

And just keeping myself whole

Who would've thought that out of everyone

It was you who would lock me up

After the whole setup

That you would open this one door,

and soon move on to the next

Do you have no respect?

They say that you can unlock any door with one key

But as for me

I'm sealed up unfortunately...
