Don't Title Me

Don't put a title on me

Don't tell me who to be

Nerd, jock, snob, homey,

Prep, loser, friend, phoney

Let all the title fall away

Because at the end of the day

I'm me and you're you

And that is the dead truth

You never know

What direction I will go

I could change my ways

Every other day

And then what

You will be stuck

Trying to find a new

Title for me like a fool

So let me be me

I'll decide who I want to be

Keep all your titles for you

Because for me they just won't do.
