Dont Push Me Out

Mon, 07/11/2016 - 11:58 -- RURauk

I'm not like them

But I mean well

My pockets are empty

My Skin is Black

My Morale is low

But my GPA is high

My hearts full of love

But it's still not enough

I'm not like them

I'm not the middle class

I'm not even the upper lower class

I'm just a broke

College Student

With dreams of taking the Social work profession by storm

But still

I'm not like them

They come in  by dozens

Offering stuggling families false offers

Giving offers thats freidnly to your budget

Looks great to familes struggling

But not a quater of what the proprties worth

I'm still not like them

They tear down family markets

Build whole foods

Post selfies and say Urban pride

But Im still not like them

It's not so much a BlACK thing

A Brown thing

A White thing

But a Green thing

But because I lack that

I'm still not like them

Don't Push us out

Don't Push me out

Stop the GENTRIFICATION of our Urban cities

-Love
