Don’t Be Sorry

Don't tell me that.

Don’t tell me you’re sorry

Because you're scared.

You're too young to not fight,

to not try,

to give up.

I understand being broken.

So broken the glue I used was shitty.

So I found glue that was strong enough.

I never gave up, I knew that I couldn't.

Even if in the very end I end up alone

I’ll know that I tried.

So you don't want to try,

I get it,

but I'm gonna call bullshit.

So what, you fall in love,

You have the time of your life.

Then your heart gets broken.

You get knocked to the ground,

And cradle the wound.

But cradle it until it stops stinging

Then get up and don’t pick at the scab.

Admire it,

look at the things that you liked,

But study the things that you didn't.

Don't say you didn't like it because it hurt,

Because it is going to hurt,

No matter how you look at it.

But try again,

Fall in love until it hurts,

But don’t stop.

Don’t say sorry.
