The Dobin

A world without filters

You daresay can seem

One where beauty and truth

Might be able to gleam

To that I say HA!

Because without such masks

And rules and disguises

All order quickly goes to the racks

Let me try to express

An idea in my head

With no strings attached

And see where my thoughts are lead

A many-a-night

Through the moss and the blight

One creature rook

With tulmutous might

T’was the huper Dobin

Some might say

He thwumps and hobbs the houlding

Everyday

He shulps and souts

With contagious glee

And sings and hums

In unending meam

Cirruming the news, he was up and nervey

I puuffed my chest with tulgey curth

In hopes of meeting the Dobin

Someway

I skipped and skupped

The toves my guide

Until the sound of the mormomes

Caught my eye

Upwards I ruffed

With innocent tuff

And I piked and joved

When I corcosed the tove

The Dobin! The Dobin!

My jubulent cries outgave

My face in a frenzy

My head a true braze

The dobin, he crackled

When he saw my wruff

For never before

Had he seen such stuff

I’ll never forget

What I slone that day

And I joped and srayed

As I went on my way

About the huper dobin

Some might say

He thwumps and hobbs the houlding

Everyday

NOW QUICK!

Bring back the order

And rules and masks

And filters that boarder

Our thoughts into comprehension

I have given my thoughts

Now dear reader

It is up for decision for which

Communication is the breeder

Which shows the better

Form of human language

And which gives way

To imagination and changes

The made-up words and format here are inspired by the famous Jabberwocky poem by Lewis Carroll, one of my favorite poets. His poems bring out a different side of human creativity and imagination, things that are both limited and exploited in filters. Filters are neither good nor evil but eliminating yourself from the social pressures of using filters and appearing flawless can bring about some unrequited creativity that is hopefully experienced through the dobin's journey.
