Do You Think I Don't Know?
Do you think I don't know that the catcalling won't cease? Don't you think I know there will be those that view me as a piece of meat? I want you to know that that's not why I am a feminist.
Do you think I don't know that the harassment we face will never go away? Don't you think I know that now that it's here, the inequality will stay? I want you to know that that's not why I protest.
I want the men on their high horses and in their white houses to admit that it's a problem. When they hear about street harassment, they need to stop them. I want them to know the struggle of being a woman.
Do you think I don't know that there will be those that will not welcome me? Don't you think I know that some will not voluntarily respect me? I just want you to know that I am more than willing to make them.

it's important to address the essence of respect
guys are prone to cat call as a form of charm, which by the way never works
more importantly , it's about respecting a woman as a human being.
no one should not be harass in any way that creates uncomfortability.
this poem sheds light about treating women with respect
