Do Not Be Deceived Dear One

Doves fly high in the sky

So you too have chosen to fly

With light bouncing off of your back

To be or not to be

        an eye catching feather

        an accomplishment

The one bees fly in the rain

And worms crawl into bird nests for

Do not be decieved dear one

A wasp painted in electric blues and highlighter pinks

Is still

In fact

A wasp

The deep reality of your royal colors

Are not to be wasted on daisies

That have been

Unbenounced to you

Pre-cut

And already dying

The sunset purple you posess is immaculate

        not a prize

        not a reward

        not an invitation

It is yours

Only to be seen by the naked eye

When the Sun has nearly finished

its journey across the sky
