Do Not

Tue, 01/01/2019 - 15:08 -- DJS2019

Do not push me back into that closet

because you're too ashamed

of who I am.

Do not "warn" me about anything

because you haven't been in my situation

nor ever will be.

Do not pretend that you care

and do not pretend to be a supporter

when in reality

all you want

is to hide me

from who I really am.

And Do NOT use tough love on me

because I have hidden myself

for 17 years

in fear of the way you would react.

and i was right.

But I

Am Not

Hiding Anymore.

Because that closet door

finally opened

and your gay son

just got gayer.
