A Divine Vine

There is something in my heart that I must express:

Skin soft as satin,

fairer than silk

Hands smooth and loving,

fingers delicate

Slim, beautiful waist,

perfectly curved hips

Bright smile glowing,

on those soft pink lips

Honest eyes so radiant,

no others can compare

All around a happy face,

flows curly caramel hair

Here I stand in wonder,

my heart begins to race

All of that beauty,

yet she is so chaste

Considerate, compassionate,

so caring and so kind

This selfless understanding,

is really quite a find

Such even temperament,

and so affectionate

Sweet innocence angelic,

oh such playful fun

Some girls are like a rose,

blooming in the sun

Oh but mine is like a vine:

Her beauty everywhere,

to petals not confined

Her virtues like a snare,

I’m captured by her finesse

Her tendrils clutch,

my heart they bind

I’m consumed with happiness,

I’m entangled by her touch

The feeling, it is so divine,

I love this girl so much

But she is not destined to be mine,

for, feelings she does not share

And so I chose not to propose;

her rejection, I could not bear.
