Divine Intervention

I sit in a broken glass table

Try to take my mind off all my troubles

These words spill out so easy

I can’t believe it.

Another book,

Another pen

Another masterpiece Unfinished,

 Lies on my dusty floor

I try and try

And the words can’t be forced

I try and try

And I lose all my hopes -

I see the ink spilling

The sun waning

The rain chasing

and I try and try

and the words don’t cease fading.

Where is divine inspiration when I need it?

Where is that honey-eyed boy?
